Good luck Elazar!

Congratulations to Elazar Volk on successfully delivering his first seminar presenting his PhD proposal!

Elazar’s doctoral research will focus on the relationship between service crop practices and coping with salinization in clayey soils—a highly relevant agro-environmental challenge, particularly in Mediterranean agricultural systems.

The work is based on long-term monitoring of experimental plots at the Model Farm for Sustainable Agriculture in Newe Ya’ar, combining a unique field infrastructure with a strong applied and systems-oriented perspective on soil, water, and crop management.

The research is jointly supervised by Shahar Baram , Gil Eshel , and myself.
