Biochar and Hydrochar from Black Soldier Fly Frass

Exploring the Benefits of Biochar and Hydrochar from Black Soldier Fly Frass.

We are honored to be part of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) research consortium led by the Israel Innovation Authority. This collaborative effort brings together scientists and commercial companies, working in synergy to advance the use of BSF larvae in various applications.

Last week, the consortium members gathered for a mini-conference and social event, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration. We had the opportunity to present promising results, including ammonia adsorption from the larval growth medium using biochar and the positive impact of Biochar-Frass on plant growth and immune mechanisms.

To conclude the event, each participant received a special gift—Frass-Biochar—to enrich their garden or balcony plants.
